I only carry guns with a frame mounted safety
My carry guns are CZ-75, BROWNING HI-POWER, H & K USP, & the 1 9 1 1all these guns have a FRAME MOUNTED SAFETYI said a GOOD holster that is in good condition. He had a cheap Galco that was worn. Just proves my point. And IWB holsters need to have a RE-ENFORCED opening, IMO.
Appendix carry?
Man killed by his own concealed weapon
Once again, someone killed because they were carrying without a holster. Sigh.......
Don't use a leather holster with a GLOCK

Strawman argument...
Holster material is irrelevant.
Holster QUALITY and CONDITION are paramount.

Always use a holster. Even in the old west. They knew to carry a holster.
And it's really not a matter of Glocks vs. other guns. It's a matter of carrying a loaded gun in the real world. People have been shot and killed back when they carried single actions when the hammer would snag on a rope or a branch and be cocked and released. Remember all those old holsters with a flap that covered the entire gun? They were slow but they were safe. You always have to consider the "what if" factor when carrying. Murphy runs the universe and he's always right behind you looking for an opening. Don't give him one. My feelings are if your carry rig leaves a lot of gun hanging out in the breeze it NEEDS a dependable safety that will stay engaged until YOU switch it off. Anything that can snag on stuff WILL. Gaston apparently never met Mr. Murphy.
I only own 2 Pistols with a Safety, A Kimber and a Taurus PT-911. Neither of which I carry very often. My EDC is usually either a Sig P220 or a P226. Neither of which have a safety. My carry guns are CZ-75, BROWNING HI-POWER, H & K USP, & the 1 9 1 1all these guns have a FRAME MOUNTED SAFETY
But SIG make a P-220 with a frame mounted safetyI only own 2 Pistols with a Safety, A Kimber and a Taurus PT-911. Neither of which I carry very often. My EDC is usually either a Sig P220 or a P226. Neither of which have a safety.
