I just wanted to take a moment today to thank those of you who continue to support us here at Atterbury Shooting Complex. Last year, you helped to make it a great year on the range, and we cannot wait to share another year with such great customers. We are truly blessed to have such a great group of shooters here at this facility. We look forward to seeing you all again soon on the firing line.

I visited the range a couple years ago and loved it. One request; can you move closer to Indianapolis? :)

I've not had the opportunity to shoot there, but I certainly plan to.

Atterbury is a very nice range these days. I don't go there often as I am a member of MCF&G and shoot pistol and my 22's there (plus MCF&G is much closer to me), but take my AR and my 308 bolt gun down to Atterbury.

In the past, before there were RO's, etc Atterbury was a bit of a scary place and I stopped going, but these days it is very nice, and well priced, and has great amenities.

I need to get down there soon and get the new MBUIS I put on my AR sighted in.

I was there with my wife yesterday. We have been there over a half dozen times this year since discovering your place this spring. I love the place and appreciate the emphasis on safety and cleanliness.

I enjoy the new facilities... But will admit that I miss the old days/range, Of being able to throw your own birds (clay pigeons) with friends...

I will not be returning to the Atterbury Shooting Complex for any reason. The range officers leave a bad taste in your mouth and like to make a spectacle of anyone they can.

I just started reloading and while picking up my brass, an officer runs down and over the loud speaker (while standing right in front of me) yells at me that I am only allowed to pick up my own brass and no one else's. I thought I had only picked up what was mine because all my brass was still warm. Maybe I'm wrong and while he was on the other end of the complex, he saw something I didn't.

It's your right to run it the way you choose but my right to not return.

We were there yesterday, my buddy Bill and I brought my son and his friend ,

One of the guys that patrols the range was nice enough to help my son Austin sight in his new scope on his .308 Rem-700 LTR,

I like the fact that the guys that patrol the range are consistent with the rules, better safe than sorry! :yesway::yesway:

Sound like if you're in Lebanon, I'd join the Boone County Conservation Club.

As a matter of fact, if you're in a stall by yourself, and you do happen to pick up brass someone should happen to leave, what's the issue?? I'd think you're doing them a favor cleaning up the joint.

Once again this gentleman is posting his untruths. As I said in the other thread, you do have the right to shoot somewhere where you will enjoy yourself. Find that place and good luck to you. But don't make up stories that are not true!

Phil, I'm with you. Atterbury is the safest, best-operated, best-maintained outdoor range I've ever been to. I've been there many, many times and have never had a bad experience. That joker's assertion that he was chewed-out for picking up someone else's brass is about as far-fetched as anything I've ever heard. The only time I've ever heard an RSO get on anybody was when they did something unsafe (which is as it should be).

I get down to atterbury 5 or 6 times a year. Love the range and have really seen an overall improvement since you took over running the place.

I can't remember the ROs name, thin, no nonsense guy with dark hair, is always very helpful. I was running my AK one day and the bolt seized up on me. I could not pull it back for nothing. He came over, inspected it went inside and came back wit a dead blow. Not only helped me to loosen the bolt but took time to help me diagnose the problem.

Inevitable, someone is always getting yelled at over the loud speaker there. If that offends people, tough :poop: I bring my wife and sometimes my 9 yo daughter so safety is the name of the game or me. If you're going to do something unsafe, you deserve to get yelled at. Follow the safety rules and your gtg. If not, take the butt chew and learn from it.

As far as brass, I've never seen anyone get chewed out to cleaning up brass. Heck, my wife and I sweep up all brass in our purvey and I seems to be appreciated by the ROs!

I had 2 bad experiences there too. I never got yelled at myself but the place lacks any sense of customer service. My 16 year old son even asked why they acted like they didn't want us there. Too bad, the facility is top notch.

Right back at you. Pistols I mainly do at ECPR since it's so close, but rifles I will drive to Atterbury. Have not had a bad experience and enjoy myself when I go. Clean and seems to be well run. So a big thanks for doing what you do.

And having pistol, rifle and shotguns in one place is great.

went there twice in the last week and enjoyed shooting there. never had any problem with the ro while i was there. in fact they have always been helpful to other shooters that have needed help while i was there. i have seen frank yell at a few people while i was there but they were going downrange before they were suppose to and messing around on the bench when others were down range. i will continue to shoot there as much as possible and very glad to have such a nice place to shoot thats so close.
