As others have said, it is not illegal to conceal (loaded), but against their policy. They just happen to have IMPD there to enforce the policy.
If you DO unload, do so prior to entering. You are own your own to find a "safe" direction for your muzzle. Pocket your mag. If you attempt to unload at the table with the cops, they will be PISSED (oops, sorry guys. That was my first show). That's when they have you unload the mag as well and read you the riot act.
If you do conceal, please leave it holstered. We get enough ND's from the vendors. Don't need them from attendees, too.
i was extremely misinformed. i apologize for my false post.
worse, if we get caught with a loaded gun we forfeit our $90 per table, asked nicely to pack up, escorted out and asked to never return as a vendorPerfectly legal to carry at the gun show. CC or OC. Or both. Or two of each.
Show rules dictate that it must be shown unloaded & ziptied.
Of course, that only applies to those who are paying admission. Vendors aren't held to the same standard.

yes we doI thought vendors had to unload too?
there is a sign to "UNLOAD HERE" outside the entrance door, of course there is no sand trap or anything to unload into. They'd get pissed for unloading at the firearm check table? They expect you to unload in the car?
right outside the door...Ah...how about reloading? Right outside the door or wait till the car?
You should see how carefull they are when they put the orange tie throught the pin of my carry grenade.

Just because they don't ask vendors as they walk in the door if they have a gun doesn't necessarily mean it is easier for us to carry it in. It is an honor system at both doors, main entrance and dealer entrance. And yet, inside the show, haven't the last few ND's been the result of a vendor's weapon that wasn't cleared?
My point was that it's easier for a vendor to bring loaded weapons in than it is going through general admission. The consequences are higher for a vendor, however, should it be found out.
