****EDIT! Its easy as pie, folks! EDIT!****

Pause the game/ goto setting/ select display. Change Weapon Target to "Complex". The size/shape of the crosshair varies with each gun.

I'm on the PC.. and still drowining in 'Saint's Row' and 'APB Reloaded'... but I am sure I will pick up GTA and waste more hours away..

I'll admit I got the fighter jet and tank, by using the cheat codes for invincibility and just sky falling in. You cant go thru the main gate as they will destroy the jet before you can get in. I play in story mode for a few hours then save the game (I have auto save turned off) then use cheat codes to just kill and have fun for a few more hours. Of course don't save the game if you use the cheats. But the skyfall, invincibility and weapons cheats make it the most fun you can have in a game. Worth every penny.

Lasts for 5 minutes. It's great. Add that to flaming bullets and you got a good time.

REMEMBER do not save your game after cheats are used. Play the game, save it. Use cheats turn it off. Have fun buddy.

Your welcome buddy. Please remember about the saves. If you care about trophies that sort of thing. Also you might want to turn off autosave. I did, I play for a few hours, then save my progress. Then I use all the cheats and have fun for hours, Skyfall cheat is great as hell also. Then I just turn the old PS3 off without saving. Have fun, the cheats are fun as hell. Look at the planes and cars you can get. Your going to be a busy guy... Try skfall cheat first...tons of fun.

Apparently there is landing gear I'm supposed to deploy... Figured it out.

I was getting really frustrated landing planes because I skip over the instructional bits so I had no clue how to lower the landing gear. I spent a lot of time trying to get the speed down enough that I could pull an emergency landing, sliding on the belly, without bouncing too much and blowing the stupid thing up. I waited until well after I'd beat the story mode before going to flight school. Probably was a mistake on my part but it was funny.

I took the in-game flying school (I assume you have as well) It helped me. What plane? THe fighter....

I just got it a couple days ago. It's pretty rad, but I don't have an HD tv so I can't read like any of the instructional bits and have to figure it out for myself. It kind of sucks sometimes.

I think I finished the story line part of the game yesterday. It played the credits. I still have a lot of the little side "missions" that I didn't work through though. I never saw anything where I could get into the fighter jet. Did I miss something?

Army base on the northwest part of the map. Download the manual app in the app store or google play. It has a full map, kind of like google maps for GTA. It helps a lot. Also I'm not that far yet, but I believe there is a mission with Michael to the Army base?
