Actually, had it been any other Joe Blow, he would have walked due to procedural errors.

I do not think so. My wife has spent her career as a medical lab tech, often the lead or the supervisor, being responsible for all the certifications. She has processed the blood tests many times for intoxication over the years. There is a very stringent legally written proceedure to make sure the test is legal for court. Lots of extra work. Right after bisard crashed, I remember the supervisor of the lab on TV being interviewed. She said that every single step of the legal protocol had been followed to the entire letter of the law. Cut and dry, it is science, not opinion.

Within a couple weeks started this whole discrediting of the blood tests. Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth. Three years latter, the truth of the test is now "fuzzy". If there is a problem with evidence, it is because someone is a liar, not because of proceedure. It would not be hard for me to understand that his buddies were trying to save his hide. I reject any rumor that he was rail roaded.

I believe he meant from the beginning where the test was taken properly however by someone who was just deemed (by a couple of months prior) not acceptable to take it. Lab testing procedures were fine.

People in general can't drive for **** and accidents happen for many strange reasons.

Ain't dat da truth. I had to drive up to the VA hospital yesterday. I normally expect a little higher than speed limit travel, but we had guys cutting in between cars/lanes at very high speed, a zombie in a little black car cutting people off and looking for a fight (it seemed).

I think I'll take surface roads next time.

I wonder what Carl Brizzi has to say about the this case now that he has been convicted of the alcohol related charges.

IMPD recommends that Bisard be terminated, the decision rests with the Merit board .....
I just heard on the news (so take it with a grain of salt) that the merit board won't vote on it till December 5th. Unless the city council can rush through something to change the code for termination. We
all know how fast politicians work (turtle speed ahead!)

They will appeal this based on the the way the blood was taken and handled. It might not be this year but I will bet that they will take it to another court in a few years. I can understand that all the police the were used were going to be in favor of this a hole. If any officer said anything against him they would have been black balled and not ever assigned any good jobs or promotion. It doesn't really matter to most of them because He was the police and they were just bikers.

I understand you're a former CO. Was this the code of ethics you held then?

Basically the same thin blue line, right?

Don't insult good people because of your ignorance.

    Bull****!!!!

Do any LE officers here believe DB got the short end of the stick due to the media attention?
I know the media has a way of manipulation of the truth.
I think the IMPD took a bad shot in the trust dept over all the stuff I gathered in over the tube on this.
I guess it's going to raise the bar on emotions on what I'm seeing as "Both sides" on a division of opinion.

Do any LE officers here believe DB got the short end of the stick due to the media attention? No, most realize he got a fair trial. Many people in Ft Wayne had NO IDEA who he was.

I think the IMPD took a bad shot in the trust dept over all the stuff I gathered in over the tube on this. In hindsight yes. It was a hard pill to swallow but it is down now.

    Bull****!!!!

Bull**** of the highest order. There hasn't been much rational thought going on about this from the start but to think another officer would put his career and pension on the line by lying about this is about as stupid as a person can get. Thirty years ago? Maybe. Today? Not a chance!
