Ah yes, the misnamed Common Sense, the 7th Sense, more rare than 6th Sense, so rare now it's a super power. We are apparently expecting too much from people.

It's a subject that gets lots of clicks/view (equaling money). Responsible journalism has given way to moneymaking journalism. If your goal is filling your coffers rather than informing the public, you go for the sensational stuff.

    And IMPD doesn't?

Generally speaking no. And that's typical of the vast majority of PDs. But, even at my department, there are guys that get a little carried away, and are more aggressive than the situation warrants. I may be wrong, but I can only assume that you've seen or been in such instances yourself. I know I have.

I have, but to assume that we only solve problems with force is completely wrong.

i'M going to hate myself in the morning..... but I don't think Kut was saying anything of hte kind. I took the "we" in his post (we try not to shoot, tase or tackle) was the royal we (likely a King) meaning all police not just Carmel. Hell, we all know Carmel only writes traffic tickets for DWB. That's likely the worst offense they've seen in years.

I think Kirk's is more appropriate. If you are safe in the boat, stay in the boat.

Didn't work out so well for this LEO.

I wanted to reach through the screen and slap somebody. Saw an old freind, quite liberal, lives in Chiraq comment on the story. Putting a HARD racial spin on it. Really wish I could comment but how its structured I couldnt add my :twocents:

Just wanted to tell him to shut his detached, ignorant, baconhole.
