Papa chuck got it today. Probably as large as 4 of the first one combined. He was standing up, I got him through the back.
Any idea how much that chubby bastard weighed?

I had a whistle pig try to come into my house through the doggy door once. Once.
Any idea how much that chubby bastard weighed?
I picked him up by the tail. I'm guessing 6 to 8 lbs, not sure though.
My wife thinks my 6 to 8 lb guess is low. I'm a bad judge, but I went out and measured the spot where he was standing on his hind legs and he was a solid 24 inches tall standing up. So I guess it's possible he was over 10 lbs. Wish I had a scale handy but don't.An adult chuck goes around 12-13# in the fall.
Some bigger, some smaller.
The biggest I've shot, put on a scale was 16#.
Took one considerably bigger (but no scale).
Guess him at 20-22#
Have seen pics of 30 plus pound eastern chucks........freaks.
Hmm. I'm thinking either an enthusiastic dog found a new toy, or we are reminded why God gave suppressed .22 pistols.
This needs to be posted on MDA facebook.
The thought of posting this on Facebook entered my mind for a moment. A very brief moment. Then again, if I ever want to purge my "friends" of any with liberal tree-hugger inclinations, that would probably be a great way to do it!
A little overkill with a .243 and 100 grn bullets but... Very nice photography! LOL I hope the liberals don’t get too upset that the pics are not politically correct. Too bad!
Welcome to the red mist society.
Two points.
1. Mr. Hog didn't suffer.
2. Problem solved!
I love the low caliber, high speed rounds.
What is that? Perhaps a bullet hole in a fence rail???
Why would someone shoot a hole in a fence rail? Remember, always be aware of your target, AND what is behind it!!!
Actually, Mr. Groundhog #3 bit the bullet tonight.
I already asked the owner, what if one of those chubby little targets is hanging over the fence rail? Apparently the owner hates the groundhogs more than he loves his fence rails. Note the downward angle of the splat.
Yep, a body shot with my .22-250 (40-55grs.) will EXPLODE inside one of these..Usually with a V-Max or Ballistic Tip will not exit.
The insides of them are cross between "Crème of Wheat" and mashed potatoes..DRT most every time...Bill.
