Just to be clear, I didn’t say Palin was stupid. In fact I said she’s not as dumb as the media portrayed her. I also said she likely has above average IQ, but it’s not like she’s the genius some people on the right thinks she is. I’d say the same for Cortez also. Not the imbecile the right thinks she is and not the genius the left thinks she is.I would like someone, sometime to back up their opinion of Sarah Palin with facts. Tell us the dumb things that she (NOT TINA FEY) said that were dumb.
As Governor of Alaska she did a good job.
As running mate to John McCain, the worst "Republican" candidate in my lifetime, she was held in check and did not fight back. You probably do not remember, but, it was the campaign policy not to say anything bad about the black guy. McCain went so far as to praise Obama on occasion.
This seems to me like the opinion of genius and idiocy are closer aligned with political ideology than reality. I don’t mind poking fun at stupid things ideologues say, whether on the left or right. But Inhave to consider the whole context, and what can be attributed to low intelligence, ignorance, or ideological possession. And, btw, I’ve never attributed the dialog of Tina Fey skits to things Palin actually said.
