Just to be clear, I didn’t say Palin was stupid. In fact I said she’s not as dumb as the media portrayed her. I also said she likely has above average IQ, but it’s not like she’s the genius some people on the right thinks she is. I’d say the same for Cortez also. Not the imbecile the right thinks she is and not the genius the left thinks she is.
This seems to me like the opinion of genius and idiocy are closer aligned with political ideology than reality. I don’t mind poking fun at stupid things ideologues say, whether on the left or right. But Inhave to consider the whole context, and what can be attributed to low intelligence, ignorance, or ideological possession. And, btw, I’ve never attributed the dialog of Tina Fey skits to things Palin actually said.
