I've stated that I'm generally comfortable with Indiana's system, and would like to see other states use our approach to these things.

But, how can you have an audit like you describe while maintaining a secret vote?

I mean, even here in Indiana, I don't think "ordinary" absentee votes could survive the scrutiny you describe. The problem with absentee votes is that there's no way to confirm the person that filled it out is actually the registered voter.
You could at least verify the number of ballots mailed from a residence match the number of absentee voters at the residence. I agree Indiana has a decent system when it comes to absentee, but mass mailed ballots is ridiculous

All absentee votes should have to be requested in every state

And they can go straight to hell. If they don't view Biden as legitimate, then he doesn't need to coddle them.

Was it you that said, "And the p**** hat crowd can go straight to hell. If they don't accept Trump as legitimate then he doesn't need to coddle them?"

I'm not sure what you mean. Like, track where specific envelopes came from?

Or look at the return address?

I'm not sure what a comparison of the number of absentee voters at a residence and the number of absentee votes coming out of a residence would provide. I have college age kids who received their ballots at school, but sent them from our residence.

Plus, in group home settings, that would be kinda odd.

I don’t remember the p-hat crowd calling Trump illegitimate. Link to claim?
And even though you won’t find that evidence, if they had they’d be wrong. Trump was the legitimate president by virtue of him legitimately winning the most electoral college votes. I have not seen a claim otherwise, other than the belief that Russia helped him with a disinformation campaign. But I could be wrong, hence why I’m asking for a link.

If you have mailed absentee ballots you know they require your signature.
It's pretty simple really. 1. You request a ballot. 2. Your name and address go into a database. When your signature and address are seen during counting your checked off in database. 3. If your signature and address appear again , Votes are not legal. 4. No dead people allowed.

My wife's uncle in Arizona is a widower with no kids at home. Received 7 absentee ballots, never requested. 3 calls to report went nowhere. If people don't think that's a problem then they are part of the problem. This is in Arizona which supposedly doesn't do mass mailing.

The audit should be set up to validate the people who vote, but not who they voted for. A different audit would be about ballot custody, and counts that have no connection to who voted.

Also I’ve said before, that counting the votes should be open for all to see. I would like to see cameras over every workstation with public feeds so that everyone can see what’s happening and feel confident in the vote. So if the feed goes down, that station would have to quit counting.

Wow. You don’t remember the constant protests? The infamous screaming ambiguous sex person sitting in the street “nooooooooOOOOO!”

You don’t remember the Hollywood round robin “not my president” bull****? You didn’t watch the livestreams of protesters saying he stole the election from Hillary? That he was illegitimate? Hell, I have coworkers who still claim that Trump colluded with Russia to get elected, wich makes him illegitimate. The whole of the Democratic existence in the last 4 years was to further that point. If you haven’t noticed that much I just don’t know what to tell you. I mean. Spite can make a person blind to some realities.

Please, show me where the p-hats were calling Trump “illegitimate.” That was the premise offered, and that was the premise addressed. You don’t get to expand the parameters of the discussion simply you can’t cite proof of the specific instance being discussed. So once again, may I please have a link to the p-hats calling Trump illegitimate?

—Bear with me, for this is a long one. But if you read the context(actually read it) they have been telling us this from the start.—

    The First Beast

13 And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads.2 And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear's, and its mouth was like a lion's mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority. 3 One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast. 4 And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”

5 And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months. 6 It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling,[a] that is, those who dwell in heaven. 7 Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them.[b] And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation, 8 and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain. 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear:

10 If anyone is to be taken captive,
    to captivity he goes;
if anyone is to be slain with the sword,
with the sword must he be slain.
Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.

    The Second Beast

11 Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. 12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence,[c] and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. 13 It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people,14 and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of[d] the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. 16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave,[e] to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, 17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. 18 This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.

That's a lazy way of arguing a point. I doubt I can dig those livestreams up at this point. You don't get to narrow the discourse to fit a technical win. One could argue that the "***** hat wearers" is a metephore for the anti-Trump lunatics, and that the intent of that phrase was not to narrow the set of people intended to those who physically wore a ***** hat while saying Trump is legitimate. It's not just lazy, it's not intellectually honest. Well, unless you're joking. I kinda think you're not.

So did the beast then go on to **** the neighbors bull? :n00b: I mean. Wow. That would probably get the Horse jealous.
I don’t even know what to say to that. Seemed very inept at the best.

My apologies to jamil, seems we are all this at one point or another. I jumped the gun, my apologies sir.

I made clear that I think the Trump sycophants are those who think the election was stolen. If you think Trump lost, and you just happen to severely dislike Biden, that’s fine... there’s a seat at the table for discussion.
    I thinks it's pretty obvious there isn't.

There was a process to audit, live, during the initial counting, that completely collapsed in some districts\precincts.

The process is that, with absentee\mail ballots, we use ballots WITHOUT identifying information stored within envelopes WITH the identifying information. The envelopes are used to verify the voters eligibility to cast a vote, and, to ensure the process isn't manipulated by one side, observers from both\all sides are permitted to OBSERVE the process of verification of each voter AND the tabulation of votes.

The problem is that this process wasn't followed as indicated by observers being removed, harassed, or not allowed within a meaningful distance to actually OBSERVE the process, because covid or whatever. One side blatantly violated the very rules meant to ensure confidence in the election process and that same side are now actively trying to intimidate and silence those who've raised any objection to those violations.

Now you're arguing semantics and minute unimportant details in an attempt to avoid addressing a larger point.
