Been lots of folks that have had complaints about having to ship their guns to Taurus on their dime, followed by long waits. Lately, I've been hearing about Taurus picking up the shipping tab, and getting the guns back a lot faster. Perhaps they are finally paying attention to customer complaints about the service!

That would be a great advancement in customer service!

I have the Taurus 145 Millineum Pro with the Heine sights (figure 8). I didn't like these sites so I bought Williams Fire Sites for it. It still fires low, but I'm getting use to it. This is my carry weapon.

I own a 24/7 Longslide in .45, tan frame and blue slide. I won't post pictures because it looks like every other one you have seen. I like mine a lot, and the trigger is excellent. Definitely worth the money.

    Failure to Fed Ex

Thought you Taurus devotees would appreciate an update on my 709 problems.

    Update
On top of my FTF and FTE problems, I must now report that the rear site fell of my Taurus 709 Slim. The good thing about that is that it removed any doubts about the proper course of action.

I called Taurus Customer Service. After a fifteen minute wait on hold I was able to speak with an agent. He asked what I needed.

I said, "I have a 709 that does not operate properly."

    He asked, "What's the problem?"

I replied, "Failure to fire and failure to eject."

There was no hesitation before he asked, "Do you want me to have a Fed Ex agent pick it up on Monday between noon and 5:00pm?"

I got the impression he had done this many, many times before.

The saga continues. I will keep you informed.
    :nopity:

The promised pick did not occur. The Fed Ex courier never arrived. I will call Taurus tomorrow to see what to do now.

    Taurus 709 Slim Repairs

The promised pick did not occur. The Fed Ex courier never arrived. I will call Taurus tomorrow to see what to do now.

I just called Taurus again. I got through immediately to Customer Service. The lady checked on my Service number and advised me that Fed Ex would be by today between 12.00 and 17.00. She did state that there have been some pick time changes, perhaps due to weather.

Good thing I work from home and do not have anywhere to go!

my 709 slim has never failed to fire it also fits inside the belt very easily

It is a great design. I really like the size, feel, accuracy. But the bloody thing fell apart after a 25% failure rate on two range tests. I hope Taurus repairs it so that it is reliable.

Update on Taurus 709 Slim repairs

:popcorn:Taurus has had the 709 for a week now. I called today to check on it. The Customer Service rep said it was awaiting the attention of the armorers. When asked, he indicated I should expect a one-month turn around.:ugh::popcorn:

I guess i should have read this post before ordering a Taurus 709 slim for my wife last night! Well, hopefully her's turns out better. The second Taurus I have bought. I love my 651 snubbie I bought last March and have had no problems with it, but revolvers are alot less finicky! I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

I have had two Tauri. Have a tcp738 and had a pt1911. Pt1911 was flawless and a great shooter. TCP is a good shooter but mags fall out while shooting. Taurus customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Probably my last Taurus unless I get another PT1911.

I have a PT145 and didn't like the Heine sights (figure 8). The gun shoot low compared to my S&W M&P 9mm. I replaced them with some William's Fire Sites. Although I like the new sights, the gun still shoots low. I have to aim at 12 o'clock to his the center of the target.

I sent my TCP via fedex overnight shipping last Friday (they covered the cost), they recieved it on Monday, and gave me a call to let me know it arrived, and to tell me there was a two to three week turn around time. So far for me Taurus's customer service has been great.

ive owned two taurus pistols, the first one is my PT1911, great gun, never had any issues with it what so ever, ove put maybeo 600 rds through it reliably and never had a single jam or stove pipe or feed failure, i like being able to run the 7 rd GI issued mags in it.

now i had a taurus milleium pro PT111 in 9mm, bought it a yr ago, immediately had problems with feed issues with any and all types of ammo, jhp or fmj didnt matter, itd jam ever other round and would stove pipe at least 2 or 3 times out of a single mag. called taurus, they told me it was the magazines, bought new mags, tried them, same problem continued, I ended up taking it to the local dealer who sent it in to be fixed, 2 months later they "fixed it" but i never fired it after that and sold it to a friend who was made aware of the issues before hand, sold it very cheap. ill never buy another one unless its a PT1911.
