      Yeah I've heard the same from others who have one. I handled one not too long ago at a local shop and the trigger seemed pretty nice. I'd buy one, but early on I found out that Sigs do not fit my hand well at all. Congrats on your new gun, I hope it works out beautifully for you.

      I see people at Bass Pro buy guns at MSRP all the time. Heck, you can't even get any guns there below MSRP. I think the days of big box gun selling is coming to an end.       The last time I went to Deja Vu, it got raided. Anyway, when I hear "For the money" I just take it as being something that isn't the best, but it isn't the worst. "For the money", Caniks are decent firearms. It's no Hi Point, but it sure isn't a Sig either.

      None as of yet, but I suppose it's bound to happen eventually. When/if I'm ever confronted about it, my standard go to will be "The state police said I can and trust me to do so."

      Do you buy 10 round mags?

      I only go down in capacity if the standard mags are 10 rounds. Otherwise no. The way I would handle going to a restricted state is bringing along a revolver or two. IMHO, if you're forced to carry less ammo, they might as well be heavy hitters.

      I agree, break it down, give the poor unloved thing a good bath and buy another brand of cheap practice ammo. I don't think I've seen that brand before, I just use something like PPU, Winchester white box, etc.
