I would like to look into getting the trailing edge of my KA-BAR blade sharpened. I'm not sure when they started coming with the false edge on them, but I'd like it to be all that it can be in case of moose or squirrel attack..any ideas? Also, does this interfere with its legality? I carry it on...
I have to agree, and say KA-BAR...the weight isn't terrible and it's designed to take ANYTHING you can throw at it. Chances are, it will outlast most of us. I like the look of esee knives, but have a hard time spending that kind of money on one.

I open carry a fixed blade knife everywhere I go, I have yet to get more than a couple glances from Leo's, mostly just compliments from folks I meet. Old timer w/ 3.5" blade, but I did just pick up a full size K-bar today at Bradis, I plan on carrying it and retire the old timer to work duty...
