personally i have a set of daniel defense fixed sights on my rifle with a aimpoint comp ml 3 2 moa dot in a lower third cowitness mount. i do not worry about lining all three up when shooting and the front sight post does not bother me in the lower third. i can see where absolute cowitness could...
I am so glad that there are some matches closer to us in the southern part of the state. getting my gear together to shoot at least part of the series.
Cerberus is right. I had one not made right and it was very slow. with the lock placed correctly, and with both mine a white lighting vent liner they go off as soon as the trigger is pulled.
it teaches you to be a better shot because you have to follow through with your sight picture to hit anything with a flintlock. watch the sights and not the flash of the lock and you will not be affected. or that is what I had to concentrate on when I first started.
use the lexol cleaner followed by the conditioner it will put the required moisture back in the leather and not be greasy when it is over. can get it at any farm or tack store. one is in an orange bottle the other in a brown one.
some sort of single barrel for weight and ease of swing. the down side is that trap is all it is good for. the browning BT-99s are good guns for the money. for sure take her to ind gun club and let her try out a variety to find out what she like and can shoot well
