      Bacon = vegetable

      This is hardly new, but I know there are many who love the bacon here (like myself) and in case y'all don't have it here's the links to get your own "Bacon is a Vegetable" stickers, shirts and aprons. Had trouble finding the shirts in the past, so I need to budget one of these soon... :rockwoot:

      Imagine a gun with teeth and its own brain

      I saw a news story on the proposed city ordinance in Indy to restrict ownership of Pit Bulls including requiring spay/neuter of ALL such dogs in the city/county limits. Can't help but see a "blame the gun" mentality at work here. I know of quite a few pibble fans who assert that it's not bad...

      Earth Hour, Saturday, 8:30pm

      From what I saw on TV, lights were on in Boston. So as far as I could tell, the winner of Earth Hour was Villanova, on an exciting last second lay-up. :):

      GAS MASKS

      Every soldier (and I presume every Marine) has to experience CS (nicknamed "Cry Sooner"); reactions vary, but all get over it. NBC gear is a pain to use. Going into various stages of MOPP was a regular part of Army field exercises. Glad I don't have to hassle with that anymore.

      Fox 59 news "Assault Rifles"

      Since ya asked, I looked it up in my 2007 edition. No individual entry for "assault rifle," and "rifle" refers you to "weapons" "weapons - Gun is an acceptable term for any firearm. Note the following definitions and forms in dealing with weapons and ammunition:" (skipping down to)...

      A quick hi!

      Thanks for the welcomes. Going the JohnJustJohn route never occured to me, tho. Maybe next board I join...

      Suspension of Disbelief

      When you're knowledgeable about what weapons really can and can't do, it turns a lot of action movies into comedies. I remember "Rambo" (the sequel to "First Blood") was a laugh riot around the barracks. :D

      A quick hi!

      Some of y'all saw me at the get-together at GT South's. I'm P Starr's significant other. Not a shooter these days, but grew up in the Arkansas backwoods (where gun ownership and familiarity is pretty much a given) and am an Army veteran (mid '80s). Live now in Irvington (community in Indy's...
