I regularly shoot a traditions pursuit xlt with thumbhole stock. It's a .50 and a ton of fun to shoot. That big puff of white smoke tends to attract attention at the range. I've never been to a shoot with it, just plink around at the range with either power belts or lead balls.
Terrible shot, but then again I'm just beginning. I would like to get into long range hi-power stuff, but that's a ways off. I am starting to get better at clays. I've found I'm deadly when clays shoot to the left, dangerous when they shoot in front of me, and harmless when they go off to the...
One of each, I'll open carry at the range which will probably end up being most of the carrying I do. But that will be the easy one, the one I don't know about is the CC holster.
Well since I picked up a shiney new RIA 1911 at the 1500, I figure I should get a LTCH so I can get out to the range and use it! So I rolled down to the WLPD and filled out the forms. Gotta head back in about 5 days after the background check clears and get prints. I applied for the 4 year...
It is indeed a RIA. I looked at the tactical for about 65 more, but the wife reluctantly agreed to the base model, I won't push my luck. Also I'd like to do stainless hammer and trigger.
Just picked her up at the 1500, and I'm heading to Linden tomorrow to shoot her. Hopefully I'll add a beavertail safety, skeleton trigger, and some nice grips once the wife isn't pissed anymore, massages work wonders...:ingo:
w00t got free tickets from my ex-boss! Will be my first 1500, wife gave go ahead (reluctantly) if I can find an awesome deal on a 1911. Any idea about how much those will run (the cheaper ones of course)?
Borders had it on clearance to about 10 bux too last time I was there. I seriously considered it, but I think I should finish the current book I'm reading, "The Story of World War II" by Donald Miller which is quiet excellent I may add.
So my future bro-in-law and I went out to the Linden Conservation Club today. That place is awesome and I signed up right away. My bro will too when he gets the money. Anyways everyone was really helpful and nice, and I got to try out my shiney new NEF Pardner pump and shoot clays for the...
