      How many steps?

"I'm a ROCKET MAN!!" Would have saved a lot of money if #2 had tazed him while #1 had the kid's focus. I'll stop Monday morning quaterbacking now.

127 Banks closed so far by US Gov in 2010.

While I do agree that it's a bit naive to fall back on the "FDIC will save us!", it is good that these poorly managed banks are being closed down before they swindle(even if the bank meant well) more people out of their money.

      Gun shop etiquette

Yeah, well I'm there to just browse because I haven't made my mind up yet. I've had that experience recently. I wanted to get my hands on a few, and it was like pulling teeth. Heck, it was like pulling teeth just to convince them to sell me an extra target. :dunno: Now I'm ready to buy, and...

      Shooting at Don's Guns

Where do you like to shoot? I think I'm going to Pop's this weekend unless some place better comes up.

      Shooting at Don's Guns

I would buy time on the range well before I would ever buy a gun from them. 30 bucks an hour is more than Pop's $19, but if I really wanted to shoot, why not? I would definitely not recommend buying a gun from there, but range time's up to you.

      It Happened At Don's!

Aw, I was there yesterday, not buying a Glock for $999. I never get to see anything exciting.

      Don't ask don't tell

I don't have much problem with the military holding the troops to a higher standard of conduct anymore than holding the troops to a higher standard of fitness. I understand the issue less well now. What is the social experiment? I mean, I assume that the only difference is whether or not the...

      WTF Kids these days...

From what I recall of being little, fireworks, esp. professional fireworks physically hurt my ears. Might just take a few years. :-)

      Don't ask don't tell

But you can provide a rational reason why a man with 30% body fat lacks the physical ability to perform his duty. What rational reason can you provide for why a gay person can't perform their duty? "It makes me uncomfortable," isn't a rational answer. If there was a rule against it in your...

      WTF Kids these days...

Girls are encouraged to stretch themselves a lot more than little boys are these days. Being rambunctious and energetic is bad. They don't get as much recess or gym time, and they're probably not allowed to disappear for hours at a time in the woods. Lock him outside with a box of fireworks and...

      Your bedroom door

Haha There are kitchen safety rules too, though. For example, always turn the handles of your pots away from the edge to help ensure little kids don't rain burning grease down on their heads.

      Shipping a firearm

If you're shipping through UPS, are you legally obligated to disclose what your shipping, specifically that it's a firearm?

      Your bedroom door

What about kids? A 500 pound door would do a lot of damage if a kid managed to slam their finger with it. If it's an upstairs bedroom, would you need to reinforce the floor as well as the frame, or would it be okay?

Purdue Greek and Co-ops on Probation

It's really sad that these kids can't seem to party without completely binging and going nuts. The inhibition lowering effects of alcohol aside, how can they be so completely clueless of their own limits?

      Bud's Guns Sale This Weekend

I find handling guns at a shop unnerving. It's hard to hold it comfortably without feeling like I'm pointing it at *something* that shouldn't have a gun pointed at it.

High school Seniors get all the good stuff, juniors always get screwed

AHahaha! All the blood must have drained from that person's face when they realized what they had done.

Everything wrong with the GOP is illustrated here...

The radical polarization of our political part(y?)(ies?) is killing us. If no one is willing to compromise, we will never be able to move forward.

My yearly attempt at quitting smoking

Isn't it odd how after quitting, people seem to get really sensitive to the smell? That seems to be pretty common.

Feast of the Hunter's Moon: Anyone ever go??

I enjoyed it. I'm not sure how far I would want to drive to go there, but it was definitely enjoyable.

      Delivering pizza without a weapon

Good for you. I could handle being fired for saving my own life. Of course, they can have the boss's pizza and cash, I wouldn't fight anyone over that.
