We planted a new type of tomato this year that we got from Florida University. Best eating tomato I've had but they ripened weird. About a half dozen come ready at first, then three weeks later a whole mess of them was ready. So we've been canning hard the last couple of days. Same as above we...
I been carrying my 43 more often since we had a warm summer but now that it is cooling off and I'm doing more than a tshirt it is back to my 19. I shoot the 19 a lot better.
So it is OK for him to reply to me, but not me to him? I'm sure you'd all like to have a private site where you can post "Obongo the Muslim Imam did another stupid Democrat Muslim Libtard thing", one after the other, and no one would interrupt that back patting session, but this isn't the place...
You suggested he was encouraging 'others' to do it, which meant Grunt because he was encouraging Grunt. Last I heard both Grunt and Obama are human males. Try to talk your way around it any way you like, you are the one who has to deal with whatever perverted things your imagination conjures up...
Oh yeah SURE you didn't intend it as a gay sex reference. Because there are so many other instances where men doing that is a sign of submission. Yeah sure :grabass:
And of course because you brought up gay sex I MUST be a liberal. You aren't as conservative as me on the most conservative day...
The big advantage I see over a form and shotcrete, or over any other construction technique I know of, is time.
For my purpose a box truck could drop 2 of the things next to my barn and I could have them ready for use the next day. With just a tractor a water barrel and a couple electric leaf...
Interesting way to get a hard shelter up quickly. Not sure how enjoyable living in one would be but I'd love to try one out for storage or something.

I want to put together a light weight bolt action and am not sure where to start. I know a skinny barrel is important but also a good synthetic stock is lighter than wood. This would mostly be for hunting in KY but also do some coyote shooting here.
Anyone done this? How light did you go and...

I lucked into a good deal on a McMillan HTG stock for my 700 and was wondering if I can bed it the same way as any other stock? ie I use Acraglass and bed the whole underside of the action.
Pillars or no pillars?
6lbs is awfully light for a 308.
On the other hand it isn't something you would probably shoot a lot at one time anyway since lightweight barrels are really good at that.
PSA CHF barrels are produced by FN, as are Noveske and Centurion and Spikes and others. Buying any one of them is the same as any other. All are spec barrels equivalent to what the military uses except for the twist rate you are wanting.
PSA has the best price at the moment. Or did last time...
Someone mentioned solar force ights on a different light thread and I bought the following:
VTac mount: $27.99
Solarforce L2: $25.99
Solarforce tape switch: $13.99
The light has an cree XML led and is really really bright. Anxious to see how this all holds up.
I looked at the ballistics of the 7-08 and it looks flatter than a 308 so that does look good. I know they make 7-08 ARs but I'm not sure how reliable they are compared to 5.56 ARs, which I have a couple of.
But if I'm looking for an all around hunting SHTF rifle something tells me they would...
