Picked this up last week, did a little research and found they do have some what of a history but depending on who you ask... It may very from the one thing to another. I do know for a fact that they were made from 1985-87 and the one I have does have the 150 year Anniversary emblem on the grip...
Recently sold my SKS and have a couple hundred rounds left. Was hoping to trade what rounds I have left for .45 acp rounds that I can use. Hate to have ammo sitting around that somebody else can use.

It has a picatinny rail, what would you guys suggest as far as optics. What would be most suitable, not going to be firing over a couple hundred yards and maybe even less. Depends on the situation obviously.
