      Color filling AR reciever

Thanks for the offer, but I'd rather do it myself. That way I only have myself to blame if it doesn't turn out like I want it.

      Color filling AR reciever

Cool, thanks for the pointers. I was wondering what you guys used to remove the excess. I'll have to try Hoppes when I get around to doing it. Are the lacquer sticks easier to use/more effective?

Awesome. I'm able to strip my 1911 to the bare-bones, except for maybe the slide. I don't have the tools to remove the sights, so you'd definitely have to do that. I'll definitely stop by your shop. Thanks again!!

      Color filling AR reciever

Have any of you guys color-filled any of your roll marks? It seems like a straight-forward process, but wanted to know if any of you had any good tips that might make it easier to do. Also, will I have to remove any color filling prior to applying duracoat/cerakote, or will either of those...

Thanks! How stripped do you need/like a 1911 to be? That will most likely be the first of the pair to get done. Is there a particular time that is best to call you? If you have a store front, it might be easier to work out, as I'm still not sure what color(s) I'd like. Thanks again for your help!

      Walmart AR deal

Lucky! All the Wal-Marts around me are apparently run by liberal pansies who are too scared to sell something that might offend someone :P

      100,000 mile mark of firearms

Yeah, a lot depends on the quality of the gun, caliber/gauge, and the manner in which you shoot/take care of it. I have a Marlin Model 60 with well over 50,000 rounds through it, and it still functions fine, but I had a Marlin Model 39AS that litterally fell apart after 5,000 rounds. So it...

      Magpul MOE Rifle Stock

Looks sharp! I'm in the process of building my first AR, and I haven't even thought about sling options yet. Do you like your Mamba 3 point on a collapsible stock?

      Looking for finishing services/info

I posted a message on his profile in this forum (don't have enough posts to send pm's yet), and he responded quickly with his phone number if I had any questions. I haven't had any work done yet, but I already like his professionalism. Definitely sounds like a stand-up guy!

I've heard lots of good things on this forum about your Cerakote work, and was wondering how much you typically charge to cerakote a 1911 and ar 15's. Thanks for your help!

Awesome. Thanks for all the reply's, guys! Looks like I'll definitely be going with the 1/8" twist with an 18" barrel. Any experience with Criterion barrels?

This is my first post in this forum, so I apologize if this thread has been done before. Feel free to delete it if that is the case! Anyways, on to my post :rockwoot: Do any of you have experience with AR's chambered in .223 Wylde? I'm building an AR, and plan on using an 18" barrel with 1/8"...
