      Thinking about a Glock in 40 S&W

Glock 22 is a very good gun, I've shot many of them never had a problem with FTE, FTF what so ever and very concealable. The 35 is a awesome shooter specialy for target or comp but size makes it a little harder to conceal. and if using for HD i would suggest getting one with the night sights...

i think i have a mag issue with my 1911

I never said i didn't like the CM mags just had issues with them. Some guns can be picky about what goes in them Some people have great luck with them and others don't i just happen to not be that lucky. i still have my 3 CM mags they work great in my fathers gun.

      o.k let me have it

Your not going to find 9mm ammo pretty much anywhere inless you are going to buy in bulk 45 is easier to find then any ammo but the Answer to all ammo is RELOADING! save every bit of brass and load it up.

first time ever too shoot something other than a bbgun

three dots across evenly. Maybe front dot little higher or lower depending on where you are hitting. But i would suggest being new to handguns, try to find a course that would go threw handling shooting stance grip etc. Not saying you cant handle it but it would help with a lot of questions you...

      XD9 tactical and Dry Firing...

It's never good to sit and just dry fire. Yes you should be able to in any good reliable gun, but to do it a 100 times is asking for something to break. Specially if you are going to be practicing for shooting comp or your technique.
