Hello INGO! I apologize, I have been looking all over for the forum rules and cannot seem to find the tab... Can anyone point me in the right directions?
Thank you!

McCain, like far too many Republicans in office, has abandoned his conservative roots (if they had any at all) and are truly leftist Democrats. He needs to switch parties and get it over with.

Congratulations to Jake Fearnow for winning the GUNCRAFT customized Glock 34 at the Applied Ballistics "Texas Star" Competition! Jake remained undefeated through all of the double-elimination match and was victorious!
As a training point for all of us who carry firearms for protection, we must remember that the terminal performance of bullets can be quite unpredictable. Train to assess the effectiveness of the force you are applying. If the life-threatening behavior does not stop, choose a different target...
I have owned a Kahr K40 for 20 years and it has never failed. I carried it as a backup gun for about 15-years and routinely carry it off duty. As far as recent ownership, I owned a polymer framed Kahr P45 two years ago and it was also a quality weapon - and should be for the price. As far as any...
Gortex is an awesome material. I have a set from Cabelas that I have owned for years and it has held up well in pouring rain while in deer stands, at the range, on the water, etc. Though there maybe other materials out there, Gortex has always done very well for me with no leaks and is...
The advice you have received on defining what the rifle will be used for is right on the money. I have prairie dog rifles with 8-24 power Leupolds. I just bought a new coyote rifle last year that I put a 2-7 power Leupold on it and I have another rifle for hunting out west with another 2-7 on it...
Ryknoll3,

Though common sense and the law says (as Kirk could more accurately illustrate than I) if the need to shoot is determined to be reasonable considering the totality of the circumstances, the inscription will not trump that. HOWEVER, as a police officer and a firearms/use of force trainer, I would...
Excellent! It seems to take forever, but it is nice to have it in hand! I will say, the ATF agent who met with me when I filled out the application was a very helpful person and seemed to understand the balance of all of our freedom and the job they are required to do.

I realize that packing up and moving out of a state is not an easy venture at all, but I cannot see how anyone, who is a passionate gun owner, can remain in in states like New Jersey.

Seedubs1, Thank you for your responses, but I am familiar with the tool, its use, and its theoretical benefits. I was simply wanting to know why the OP was thinking about doing it to his own rifle and his answer was "out of curiosity".

Caulfieldian,
I can understand the desire to do that, as I have done the same type things wondering if they have any real affect at all. I was just curious if there was one particular result you were hoping to achieve to help narrow down a better answer for you.
Thank you!
