Just to add some info to this thread regarding inked fingerprints, the local UPS store did mine that I used to get my UPIN. It saved me some headache as the county sheriffs office quit doing them and the company they referred me to required an appointment.

    UPS?

Well I did receive my LTCH and it ended up being a couple months from the paperwork being sent down to Indy. I have yet to attempt to buy any gun yet. I may give that a shot next week.

I went in today and received a "proceed" from the background check on a handgun sale. It's 4 March, so that makes only 4 months from the judicial decree granting the expungement. I may have jumpstarted the bureaucratic wheels by quickly applying for the LTCH and including a copy of the judicial order. Or it could be an effect of the change in administrations since the election, though I find that doubtful. In any event it looks like I'm in the clear in all respects.

Sorry I think it is just 3 months from the decree, which was quite late in November. Anyway I didn't even get a delay, and of course I had primed the guy at the shop that a denial may be likely and why. He said he got a Proceed and I said well I guess that restores my faith in the bureaucracy. lol

Not sure if you’ve done this or not, but have you contacted your state rep/senator? I have heard that some have sped the process up substantially. I’m not sure It works all the time but have heard of it working pretty well. Worth a shot.
