    A holler in Kentucky
Down here on the river, it was dark enough for the dusk to dawn lights to kick on, and the shadows during the peak and just after were really cool! They went from really fuzzy, like the old x-ray specs you used to be able to order out of comic books, to really sharp and defined over a period of about 15-20 minutes. Oh! And about 6 of us were standing outside the range, and a crazy bag lady walked by screaming that we were all rapists......

I was disappointed in the Louisville, KY area. Did not get nearly as dark as I
thought it would with 96% totality. Plus it did not trigger the zombie
apocalypse. I was so looking forward to that too dammit...

It was awesome! We drove to Sparta, IL Sunday. Clouds stayed away from our location, about 2 and a half minutes of totality. One of the guys I know was practically crying, but he's really into astronomy and this was his first total eclipse. Wished it would have lasted longer but so thankful it wasn't cloudy!

We watched with welding helmets on. I thought it would get a lot darker than it did but it was still dark enough to trip the security lights.

I watched the NASA live feed from Hopkinsville, KY. Very cool to see and I was in the air conditioning the whole time!

We are in Franklin, KY. (In the totality zone) Trust me, pics don't do it justice.

If you can travel to a totality event, DOOOO EEEEET!!!

    words cannot describe the experience.

i ended up using 2 shade 10s on top of each other it gave me a clear and crisp view, the shade 13 just wasn't clear enough but that hood kinda sucks anyway. didn't really get all that dark here did seem to cool off a bit though.
