If you want to shoot the people responsible for pushing the most drug addiction, you probably need to start with quite a few pharmaceutical execs, quite a few regulators, quite a few elected representatives, and quite a few doctors.

Street dealers are going to be way way way down the list if we are talking about actual numbers of addicts created...

Weird, right? Its almost like El Chappo saw a business opportunity in the wake of Purdue Pharmaceutical's government aided mass distribution of opiates.

3 Purdue execs were convicted of intentionally lying about the addictive qualities of their drugs. None saw a single day in jail.

Drug Dealers = Predators taking advantage of the weak minded.

Line em up, shoot em down. :ar15:

I understand that the "libertarian" way is to legalize everything because it's a victimless crime and all that but that's actually wrong and to believe that make you a part of the problem. Just one of so many reasons that I'm not a libertarian.

    you make a compelling case.

And most of those users got the opioids from.... Wait for it... A drug dealer who robbed a pharmacy or sold his prescription.
Nope, not even close. Free samples were given out by Purdue though to make sure every patient could get a taste...

Look up when bodies like the American Pain Society were founded, how they were founded, and what happened to doctors who didn't get on board with taking end of life drugs and dumping them into the public.

Not even close to being the same as heroin addicts looking for opioids.

I think you're confused. 80% admitted that their first opioid was from a PRESCRIPTION!

    From the same link...

"Of those who began abusing opioids in the 2000s, 75 percent reported that their first opioid was a prescription drug"

What? The heroin addicts were created when pill addicts realized that you could get the same fix with $80 of heroin as $300 of pills.

The vast majority of heroin addictsin this country started out with an opiate pill addiction, most of whom received it via prescription.
