So what happens if this were in a jurisdiction where a protestor, or even a curious passerby, is carrying and some dervish jumps him, with the end result being the armed victim aerates him?
Diplomatic immunity doesn't make ya bulletproof.
A very good point and good question. It would turn into a circus for sure.
Turkey has really gone down the toilet with this Islamist ******* in charge there.
Through the Cold War, they were one of our best allies, so this is the unintended consequences of a common enemy being neutralized and sectarianism filling the void.
Scumbags like Erdogan flourish in the ME, while the few good guys such as Sadat get assassinated.
Their last hope was the half-hearted attempted coup a while back. The Turkish people would be a lot better off today had it been successful. Past military coups in Turkey resulted in a restoration of self-gov't once the Islamists were dealt with.
The Kurds were protesting that their main political outlet being labeled as a "terrorist" organization by Turkey. If you get a chance, read up on the Kurds. As a people, the Kurds have been a steadfast ally, and Turkey and others such as Saddam have unjustly abused them...but be cautious in your embrace of them since several of the main groups, such as the SDF, are some form of leftist/socialist/marxist.
