Yes, from what I have seen there is a huge run on both guns and ammo. every shop or store I have been in the last week were doing brisk sales and most have no ammo to be had, I usually see that everyone is out of 9mm, 223, 45, 357/38. Severl stores I go to have sold over half their inventory in the last week. very brisk is what most of them are saying. On with that spirit, the gougers have come out on the gun sites (armslist etc..) and amazingly most of the overpriced ads are deactivated in a few hours, so they might actually be selling the overpriced crap. the worse lol I seen was a remington golden bucket of 22's for $200. I dont mind givin someone a profit if i needed something, but thats pretty bad.. lol.

Since this is a local store I think it is interesting as the current state of affairs in central Indiana.

Sounds like all of the anti-gun Dems that have been listening to Joe are now panicking! Dumbasses.

    Thanks for sharing.
My thoughts: will we see an increase in negligent discharges with the increase in new first-time gun owners? With the lack of training opportunities available at the present time, where will first-time gun owners turn to get training?

I would be more than glad to spend free time helping first-timers, but don't really know the best way to go about it. I think it would be in all our best interest to give a helping hand to those new to the world of guns.

I talked to Brian at Indy Trading Post earlier in the week. He said it was nonstop from opening til closing. Also, I stopped by Rural King today to check on grass seed. When I walked by the gun dept. there was a sign saying “only 6 people in at a time” with caution tape blocking the area. I laughed out loud as I walked past the 15 people waiting for their turn to be turned away when they ask for .22.

Interesting video. My local shop is very picked over. Lot of guns being sold and new inventory arriving daily. The biggest issue is ammunition. The problem there is replacement cost is going up with every order and distribution is allocating how much will ship. This is a short term problem. I agree with the video that once the panic ceases the industry will catch up quickly. But for now we have guns and ammo available locally.

Probably not a bad business model in any kind of panic lineup at the gun stores, even if not a virus type concern. Let's him keep an eye on them and also give them some customer service attention at the same time.

Strange, I hear this is exactly the model used at most dispensaries.

Biden only approves a side-by-side and then only endorses negligently discharging both barrels into your front lawn, leaving you with a club.

Just came home from Shoot Point Blank in Carmel. The place was packed, 2:30 in the afternoon, people lined up 10-12 deep at the register buying gums and ammo. I used the range, and as I was leaving was looking around, and a young Asian girl asked me to help her. She was with an older Asian gentleman and she said they had just bought a gun and she needed nine liter ammunition. I didn’t ask what type of pistol they bought, but she probably needed nine millimeter ammunition. All premium 9mm ammo was gone, but I found a in opened case of 500 115 gr Blazer 9mm FMJ on the floor with a lot of Blazer .40 FMJ, and told her she should buy the whole 500 rd case, but her escort opened it up and took four 50 rd boxes.
My good deed of the day.

Stopped by their Greenwood store early this afternoon. The pickins were slim, not a whole lot on the wall (no shotguns that I saw) or in the case. I coincidentally got there 15 min after a pallet of FMJ 9mm & .40 got dropped off, so I got a few for myself. While checking out, I inquired about what / when products were coming in. The guy there told me, "We get a shipment every day, and it's like opening presents at Christmas. It's always a surprise, what's inside the box."

If this isn't a clarion call for EVERYONE to learn how to load their own ammo, then nothing will ever get to those people.
One of the most popular requests were for 12ga pump shotguns?
I was just gifted a Mossberg Shockwave in 12ga on Monday of this week! I ordered and received 100 rounds of Aguila mini shells and my OpSol adapter yesterday.
Looks like I got my goodies at the very last minute.

Powder and primers are a couple days from blinking out of existence, if they haven't already (I honestly haven't looked). They're niche items and frequently go out of stock during normal times.

Reloading doesn't make you immune from an ammo run unless you have a mountain of components in stock at home. Two or three companies account for 95% of powder and primers. Nothing stopping them from jacking powder up to $100 a can.

Which is why I picked up as much lead as possible last year and started to learn how to cast.
