We are living in the same US that thought prohibition was a great idea about a century ago, and foisted the Affordable Care Act upon us when everything lined up just right. It only takes a moment when the conditions are just so.

When a well intended "conservative Democrat" was lied to to get the support of his anti-abortion group to support ACA to help the poor. Without Stupak, the stupid, ACA would have never been passed. It was that close. It can happen to 2A as well. Pay Attention!!!

Thanks for the link. Andre Carson & Pete Visclosky were the two Indiana yes votes. No surprise there.

I was surprised to see there were actually two Dems that voted "no." One from Maine, one from Minnesota.

Yeah it’s no surprise that Viscclosky the Rep in my district voted yes.

He’s a lifer in a Democrat stronghold so he can pretty much vote the party line without repercussions.

Needless to say he doesn’t represent me.

They will spare the shotguns, and bolt action rifles for the Fudds like Joe Biden, well until people start picking off politicians and celebrities from long range

That's only if the shotguns don't have magazine tubes and the bolt action rifles don't have detachable magazines. And that will only last until last until the next round when they say that bolt action rifles are "sniper rifles" and the previous gun ban didn't work because it go far enough.

The irony of all this gun ban stupidity is that IF they pulled it off--without starting a civil war--the narco cartels would diversify into gun smuggling and thugs would be committing robberies with full-auto AKM's and gangs would be having turf wars with belt-fed PKM's and RPG's like in mogadishu
