What worries me is that, at the end of the day, Trump is still a northeastern liberal at heart, yes i voted for him, and will do so again baring something, but there is still the slightest doubt in my mind about him allowing some form of gun control, as mentioned above, "common sense" gun laws...et.al. Lets face it, if he is re-elected, he will not have to answer to his "base" for any gun laws passed..

I understand. You do not trust him. OK.

In his defense. He declared as a republican.

He has stated that he WILL NOT infringe on our gun rights.

He has withstood the unrelenting onslaught from the left for four years.

During this Dempanic the has worked to keep the petty tyrants in check and has not become Hitler as predicted by the left. (I do admit that he did many things to appease the panicked that I think were stupid.)

It is my studied opinion that the chances of him taking a LEFT turn are doubtful.

In his defense. He declared as a republican.

For now...except when he wasn't a member of the republican party:
Born: Donald John Trump, June 14, 1946, Queens, New York City
    Republican (1987–1999, 2009–2011, 2012–present)
    Democratic (until 1987, 2001–2009)
    Reform (1999–2001)
    Independent (2011–2012)

He has stated that he WILL NOT infringe on our gun rights.

Right, like protecting the 2A. He is no gun rights advocate. Not at all:

“Take the guns first, go through due process second,” Trump said.
“Allow due process so no one’s rights are trampled, but the ability to go to court, obtain an order and then collect not only the firearms but any weapons,” Pence said.
"Or, Mike, take the firearms first, and then go to court," Trump responded.
