    Day 1 from Florence
Horses were moved to high ground yesterday
Kubota UTV, mower, and log splitter moved to high ground yesterday
Very sleepless night - high winds and moderate rainfall
    Main power out at 2am
    On generator backup
Have satellite tv, internet, and phone services
    Large trees down and uprooted
All sizes of tree limbs and branches down
Our 1/2 mile long driveway blocked in several places with trees that took out the power lines
We still have a relatively clear path out for vehicles through trails in woods
NE Cape fear river near us is still predicted to crest at about 15 feet over flood stage - that would put water 4 feet deep in cabin
We still think the river will not get that high
Still have high winds and light rain (not enough rain to raise the river to predicted levels)
We are planning on evac of dogs and us at first light tomorrow in our John Deere gator
Planning on moving vehicles and rest of equipment today

    Stay safe.
    Good luck.

He's been chasing hurricanes and doing this for a couple of years..

Reporter: "Are you planning on this going viral?"

    Dude: "I've already been viral."

From my home town and went to the same University I did... My people :rockwoot:

Pittman, who is from Jacksonville Beach, Florida, became Internet famous in 2015 after Fox News wrote about Neptune Beach Police issuing Pittman a citation for breaching the peace when he played a raucous guitar rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” -- and a verse of Ted Nugent’s “Stranglehold" -- during a July 4 celebration.

The 22-year-old University of North Florida senior was issued a citation on July 4 for breaching the peace following a raucous guitar rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” and a verse of Ted Nugent’s “Stranglehold.”

And yes, I just fired up Stranglehold in iTunes in honor...

I think One of the problems with the river rising is that the water is still coming down, but it has nowhere to go. So you are seeing the rain, plus the storm surge, plus the usual flow of water.

When you're smart enough to not go out in the storm, but not smart enough to fake it.

    I had the endoscopy today.
Asked doc to just clean off the probe, then get my colonoscopy for me.
    He said NO!
    Has to be separate days.

    I'm not bleeding.
    But I knew that already.

Hah, insurance problems. They do both same day routinely for inpatients.

or problem is he can only bill one per day. They do them both same day inpatient routinely. Why do two risks of sedation :dunno:

    Good news! :rockwoot:

Did you celebrate with some chili cheese fries?

    No.
    Went home.
I'm supposed to say on "low fat" diet.
But they did say it doesn't have to be as rigorous, I can reward myself once a week or two.

I think the problem was work hours, stress, and Excedrin Migraine pills.
And since I've been off work, I've had one minor headache. That's in a month. I used to get multiple ones per week.
Steady sleep schedule, and steady eat schedule I think did more for fixing the problem than the diet.
But, I'm not going to risk it to find out.

Problem is, cause the Internist (sp?) never bothered to return my phone calls except when I tracked down when he'd be in the office. Secretary told me, no new patients. Then never called back with what I needed to tell my doc.
So I've spent a month doing this, and now the GI told me to see my doc for blood tests, and look for causes that might not be celiac disease.
Ugh. So next week I get the ball rolling on that, in case it's not celiac. Cause I don't see the doc for that until November.
No work until I stop falling down.

Any chance I had of getting past the work doc evaporated in the last couple days.
One of the mills on the lake had a death as far as I can tell. Not sure which one.
But they're not going to risk a guy that keeps falling over.
