I cried yesterday morning and it won’t be the last time in the next yesr

There was a stat for our church mentioned in service yesterday relayed to us. In the past week at our church, there was nine babies born to those of us who go there. I knew of two others but there was six other babies including triplets.

Lets recap our crazy week.

Inducing delayed due to high blood pressure a few hours while in labor and delivery
Daughter born Thursday
My dads fiancé dies unexpectedly Thursday
Delayed going home due to wife’s blood pressure
Go home sunday
i accept new job today
my wife gets readmitted to the hospital due to blood pressure tonight.

Who says life is boring.

My wife was gestational diabetic. My sons body was creating insulin for both of them. Within minutes of being born his sugar dropped like a rock. It took about 5 days for him to straighten out and he was fine.

And I was let go from one job a week before our due date, (boss sold the company) But good news is the new owner wanted me to stay on. I said yeah, If I can get a week off with pay. My wife is having our baby on Wednesday. He said hell yeah, of course. Take all you need.

Things were looking great until I went to a electronics show with my brother the weekend before. We stopped in China town in Chicago to eat and I got food poisoning. I was sick right up till the birth. What a time! The wife was not happy. But it worked out awesome. the little guy just turned 18 on the 14th of this month! Time goes so fast. Slow down and enjoy the moments.

just wanted to post that we are donating our Doppler to this group. We had decided that Olivia was our last during this pregnancy. Hopefully get it sent off this week once we are discharged...., again.

On another note: the nurses volunteered to watch Olivia while we rested for a while. That was awesome.

Home! They drastically changed my wife’s medicine and it worked.

Both mybwife and I normally have high blood pressure and on medicine. When we knew were going in to be checked I just threw things in the diaper bag. When they admitted us, I jokingly said I don’t want you to check my bp. I already knew it was sky high also. Hats off to the union hospital labor and delivery staff for being so helpful. I barely slept but my two girls stayed happy. The nurses even volunteered to hold Olivia so we could rest for three hours.
