Like most of America, all they (even myself to a degree) know about suppressors are what they see in movies.

Unfortunately, the same applies to guns.

In the movies, mostly guns are carried by:
1) Cops, LEOs, Gov't Agents, etc. The good guys.
2) Crooks, Thugs, Degenerates, Killers, Thieves, Murderers, etc. The bad guys.
3) And finally, the clueless armed citizen. Who either kills the wrong person, makes the situation worse, or shoots himself or family.

After seeing that for decades, guess what they think.


Same with gun laws. They saw it on TV.
