    Truly a sad day.

I have read several comments that have prompted me to ask all to pause and wait. This idea of "wore a trenchcoat all year", "talked of Columbine" and anything else that comes out is only there so that the mainstream media can sell some sizzle. As of now I would argue that their accuracy leaves much to be decided. It will be a few weeks before we have anything accurate or substantial to see a truer picture.

Now it is just reporting emotional, excited comments in order to be the first to report, not the most accurate to report.

    Regards,

    Doug

I was trained in Asymmetical Warfare.

    Think
    Adapt
    Anticipate

I understand that money rules in public schools but if you are attacked over and over with the same tactics techniques and procedures.
You have to adapt or continue to suffer the same casualties over and over again.

I'm seeing reports the shooter was a student dressed in a trench coat with a sawed-off shotgun. Apparently he's been wearing A trenchcoat all year and taled frequently about Columbine.

I'm speechless. No, thats not a red flag......

Very sad day. Locked doors and security at some level.....
Also, for God's sake, long coats in the summer should be a flashing "check this person out" banner.

The media coverage fuels these massacres.

Instead of a healthy browser history, filled with the typical porn sites you'd find on a normal 17 year old loser's computer, this kid's will be full of links to MSM sites detailing the horrific acts committed by his "heroes". His goal won't be simple revenge, but to garner the attention his predecessors did.

Its super common at the age of 17 to dress in a manner that the majority of people find strange, for a lot of kids its part of growing up. The mention of his trend coat seems irrelevant. Cant start treating people like criminals based on clothing. I bet theirs 100,000 other kids sitting in class right now wearing a trench coat who are completely normal and probably that many or more sitting in class in a varsity jacket with pistol in their pocket.

Me thinks more will come from conversation if we can filter out the parts that the media are going to use to gain clicks.

Wonder if we can make it through the day without someone posting the alleged facebook posts from the shooter, his name, or the fake "known to FBI" document that's floating around...

Not going to link it as I don’t want to give them clicks but the CNN headline that just came up in my feed reads “There has been, on average, 1 school shooting every week this year.”

Spin, spin, spin. Dana L was right.....media absolutely feeds off of these tragedies. Makes me sick to my stomach.

This claim has been retracted by other media outlets. CNN still pushing it for some reason.

It includes a BB gun that hit a school bus.
A non-student shot at an apartment on a campus.
    A series of non-student shooters shooting non-students.

If it bleeds, it leads. That's always been the way with the press back as far as you want to go.

But, there is a problem that needs to be dealt with. And it isn't by modifying the 2A.

A public hanging. If already dead, hang them anyway.

The FBI is just another self-serving political entity. Unless there is an upside that I don't see, I doubt they will get involved. They have bigger fish to fry for their party.

I get the major smear campaign under way and you buying into it, but even if you do there's a lot of the FBI that's not DC. I work with FBI agents fairly routinely doing regular ol' Hobbs Act robberies, etc. My question would be, is this an issue that needs to be a Federal Issue? Or is this a local LE issue? This isn't something that's going to be solved by a different agency being in charge.

It's pretty well planned for a nut job run amok...

Crazy =/= stupid. Even having delusions, etc. doesn't mean you can't plan and execute.

point being what? They all dressed the same so they pass the security check? Ah yes i see you are conforming by wearing white bell bottoms, looks like their wont be any school shootings today.

I'd actually be interested to know, shooting to population wise, how much (if any) school shootings have risen over the decades. I suspect media attention drives that bus more than anything else.
