Looks like the entrance took a hit.

Inside is quite a rare find. The gun ports have their original hatch with complete hardware.
It's just very rusty. You would need tons of WD40 to move it.
    I couldn't move it ...

I can't remember if I asked before (I think I might have but do not remember the answer) but are those on public property? If not, do the land owners ever give you a hard time about looking around?

Those are on private property, some are on public property.
As long as you close the gates and don't scare the cows they have no problem with people taking pictures.

I guess my urge to go out there with a shovel and a metal detector would probably be frowned upon, then?

    Yeah probably.
They probably have more troubles with teens going there to do drugs or drink though.
Not that it happens in those, they are in a remote area away from the city.

Incredible! I had the good fortune to tour Normandy and see 3 of the D-Day beaches and Point Du Hoc in 2014. I found the bunkers to be simply fascinating. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your pictures and hearing of your exploration. Thanks for sharing!

Another type of hatch (not sure if "hatch" is the correct word for that :dunno: ) just as rusty.

It's also facing the entrance and the stairs.

All those pictures from the inside are taken in total darkness so it's not easy to take good pics.
The camera kept showing the message "not enough light" ... no ****. :):
It looks much darker inside when you're just exploring with a flashlight as opposed to how it looks with the camera flash.

I think it's about all the somewhat interesting pics I have to show for now.

I'm curious about the structures you see on the satellite pictures that I have yet to explore.

Looks like at least 2 or 3 bunkers and what could be a radar station.

Those 2 big concrete blocks were the base of a large antenna.

Underneath is a large fully underground bunker for the radar operators, batteries and machines.

Thanks Sylvain, awesome stuff. A little of topic, but the guys who designed the WW2 Call of Duty games really did their homework. Those bunkers look exactly like they do in the games.

I have to spread reputation around before I can hit you again, but thanks so much for the pics!
