I don't see how it could bring you any trouble if an aggressive dog closed to a distance within arm's reach before you defended yourself.

Be a fools errand to prosecute someone using lethal force to protect themselves against a dog attack. LS proved that even a warning shot in the city limits is acceptable in a dog attack situation in the city limits, even Carmel city limits.

Any animal crosses the street to attack my cowdog and I will drop it.

I won't, because IMHO there is something about that breed that makes it more aggressive than most other popular breeds. But, you and I both know I could figure something out.

And, as I recall, the key was that it was depicted as in defense of others, as kids would be arriving on the school bus soon. It didn't take much.

It was apparently a purebred American Pit Bull Terrier , just called the vet to make sure that animal had been put down.

Scout is still basically hiding in the tub licking his bite wound 24 hours later. From now on woth any loose dogs running across the street at me the absolute worst will be assumed and appropriate measured employed.

I don't know - those things can be expensive. Maybe because you are competing with all the zombie preppers. They know an aluminum bat is the weapon of choice:

- Practically unbreakable
- Never runs out of ammo
