Well damn Sig stock just took a hit lol. And on the Smith 686 and model 66's mentioned I am a big Richard Marcinko fan (guy who founded Seal Team 6). They used stainless model 66's for salt water work as they would not corrode and highly customized Beretta 92's initially. They actually found the slides on the 92's cracked under high round counts and stress so the team worked with Beretta to fix that issue and ended up with basically custom 92's. And as a side note most 6 guys carried custom Emerson knives with Earnest Emerson giving Marcinko a custom CQC-6 folder.
Then as we all know they used USP's and HK45's quite extensively as well in addition to the 226.
I am with you about Marcinko. It is a damned shame that he got railroaded the way he did for doing his job well rather than polishing egos and knobs by not doing his job in order to make the incompetent look good.
