I am just shocked that the media hasn’t brought up the Obama’s involvement in Netflix and asked about their apparent approval of this movie. Can you imagine the fury the media could create if it was the Trump family?

There would be rioting and looting.... oh wait never mind I guess there already doing that.

All across this country, there have been recent raids that uncover your girls who have been sold into the sex slavery. There are thousands of stories worldwide about child sex rings. We have high ranking politicians and hollywood people being investigated because of some sex island that had young girls doing older rich men. We have child molesters who drool at the thought of seeing young girls (and boys) in the very act that Netflix shows.

If what you call innocent stimulates a segment of society into doing heinous acts or thoughts to young girls, don't you feel a responsibility to protect those being exploited? You may not call it porn, but if another does and it sets them off, by NOT doing something are you not enabling the deviate rather than protecting the innocent?

If it were your child, what would you do? This kind of crap that netfix allows actually is part of the agenda to indoctrinate society into thinking something is ok when it is actually not. It's not only our children being indoctrinated....many of you need to take a good look in the mirror.

How many of you who are commenting actually watched the whole thing? Were parts of it disturbing? Yes. that was the idea.

Cuties is the story of a confused 11-year-old girl in America who is being smothered by her Senegalese family's culture. In an attempt to fit in with a group of girls she thinks is cool, she acts out and crosses several lines. I'm surprised that no one is expressing outrage over the scene where she stabs a schoolmate with a pen, or the scene where she pushes one of the girl dancers into the river so she can dance in her place. The few minutes of midriff shirts and twerking, while disturbing, are hardly child porn. Was it inappropriate behavior for young girls? Absolutely. The dancing is integral to the story, but it is not the whole story. The story is the journey of Amy (Ah-mee) through a difficult time in her family life, and how she chooses to cope.

Or Mario Van Peebles in Sweet Sweetback's Badass Song?

I'll keep my Netflix account, but skip watching that particular film since It sounds like I wouldn't like it anyway.

You're not doing it right. Now go away and come back when you're outraged.

To set this strait, not a fan here of any form of child abuse or child porn. We all have opinions..
Like I have posted, porn in any manner is in the eye of the beholder, what bothers you may not bother me. And what bothers me may not bother your brother.
Myself, Again I have not seen this video, but with what is being said I dont believe its child porn. Vulgar and tasteless.... Yes.. But not porn.

It is not what bothers you that matters, it is what is the law.

    [h=1]IC 35-42-4-4[/h]
Child exploitation by knowingly creating, selling, sending, or presenting materials showing sexual conduct or showing the genitals or breasts of children under 18 whether in person or on a computer, a Level 5 felony. Possession of child pornography by knowingly having pictures or films of depicting sexual conduct by a child under 18 that lacks a literary, scientific, or educational reason, a Level 6 felony.

Did they create and present materials showing breasts of someone under 18? If so a felony in Indiana...

I understand the law, And I certainly dont believe that this movie broke the law. When do the book and DVD burnings start?

You are reading this like liberals read the second amendment.

The first sentence stands alone and has its own penalty. The second clause relates to possession as I read it.

Remember That The Court, Common Sense and Case Law are involved....

So are we now in agreement that IC says displaying "breasts" under 18 is a felony?

Not sure at the local level but at the federal level it is being looked into. But like Epstein and his infamous Lolita express some entities are beyond apprehension and not worth the effort at the moment...

As for the breast in question, the girls were looking at dance videos on a cell phone, and one of the dancers they were watching flipped her shirt up for a fraction of a second. The age of the breast owner was not given, but it was not one of the main characters who were known to be pre-teen.

Oh, and that makes it ok? But judge, it was only a glimpse...

I never saw it and only go by what I have read.... the girl was 11 y/o.

Exactly what was the purpose of the split second glimpse if it was not exploitation?

No more OK than any of the other nudity shown on Netflix or any other channel.

I never saw it and only go by what I have read.... the girl was 11 y/o.

And yet you felt the need to start a thread about it? Again, the age of the character was not given. Even if one could infer that the character was underage, there is no reason in the world that they would have used an underage actress to portray her.

You are correct they could have used a young looking actress to create the scene and it would be legal.

Yes I did. There are tens of thousands of children being sold into sex slavery, abducted, exploited.... and here we see a nauseating movie that sexualizes children.

We all need to be more aware and start to take precautions where ever and whenever we can.

Yes, we need to promote common sense safety for children. We, the adults are their only source for protection.

Who is this "we" that sees it? Certainly not you, since you have not seen it. The movie's purpose is not to sexualize children. Again, you need to watch it before commenting.
