When this is over, it begs the question...how fast will the light bulb dim in the mind of the sheeple?
Very quickly, most likely before the gates are fully reopened at Disney.

Stockpiles not being used is inefficient. We can't ***** about inefficiencies in the bad times when we laud it as the goal in good times.
This hits the nail on the head. Some liberal whiner at work found the box of Flu mask(*) I had in the office supply closet. “We should be donating those to a hospital”. Sorry lady, those are to protect our employees when we open our business back up and try to make enough money to keep everyone employed. They are now hidden in a locked room to prevent “donation”.
The failure of hospitals to prioritize patient care and employee protection over profits is not my fault. Pinching pennies with low supply inventories and just in time shipping is biting them in the butt.
(*) Bought this box of mask for the predicted Bird Flu pandemic that never happened.
I thought Obama outlawed the good light bulbs. I hate the new ones, they are too dim.
I do not feel like BBI was coming down on me personally but rather hoarding in general.
The lack of PPE is real, would you send an army into battle without first aid and and bullets?
Survival Food Frog Egg Soup...
Absolutely you would. You fight with what you have when you are the defenders.
If you are fighting a battle of conquest, you wouldn't attack unless you had superior resources/tactics. If you are fighting a defensive battle (which we are in this case), you fight with whatever you have to work with.
Being well prepared is certainly much better and makes the situation much more survivable, but when you are the side being attacked, you fight as best you can with what you have available.

I’ve never had any interest is sharing my readiness status with anyone but immediate family. That seems counterproductive to me. As for acquaintances, they can laugh all they want. I need no affirmation.

Yup. On the last day of work, a guy came up to me and asked if I had bought anything to prep for this. I flat out lied and told him I hadn't bought anything.
I think a lot of medical facilities will learn some prepping themselves through this pandemic. Possibly through govt mandates?
Hopefully, we escape this tragedy to up our game from the learning experience. Our FDA will hopefully be rejiggered to accommodate what we have learned vs the bureaucratic self-feeding govt growing beast that they became under Obama.
An interesting (and reasonable) explanation of the great TP shortage of 2020...it's not all about the panic.

Nevermind the “fact” that stores only stock about 3 days worth of overstock. Meaning if they don’t get a truck for 4 days their shelves would in theory be barren.
Blame the Japanese and their Just In Time methods.
