Meh, since rep got reset, I just decided to turn mine off. With the "pyramids" it lost any meaning anyway. I'll stick to giving folks an "atta-boy" in-thread when they nail a post (huh, that totally needs context).

If you do not like political discussion, stay out of the political section.

If you do not like overpriced Glocks in the classifieds, do not buy them.

If you do not like the new design, wait until it's done to make up your mind.

If you do not like Roadie, petition to get him fired as a mod.

If you do not like the rep system, do not use it (for neg or pos rep!).

I think some people misunderstand the status update folks. If you outlaw rep, that thread will continue as always.

I had been away from the Forum for a number of months. When I returned I saw new members with very low post counts with hundreds of reps. I still see fairly new members having reps tens of times their number of posts. Now I must ask, how the heck can that happen?

We must have many new members thinking they don't need to earn anything in their lives. I see this in everyday life too often.

INGO, I don't need the reps. I am secure in believing what I have said will stand tall on its own. I recommend stop the reps.

Yeah, at one point someone had 2 posts and was maxed out on rep. That was just silly. I also found it silly how many people are complaining about their rep being gone that were only members for a few months.
