Because he overcame the fear of getting sick himself to do what is best for the country rather than what is best for him.

With all the high level medical care around him, if you think he didn't have any fears about it, you'd be entirely wrong. He just didn't let you see that fear.

The man has been tested dozens if not hundreds of times by now. People around him are tested regularly which is how this was caught early in the first place. He has taken precautions that he feels are appropriate and we've been told many times that the masks are more to prevent giving the disease, not getting it. Now that he has tested positive, he is once again doing the right thing by isolating

Why was he wearing a mask here? He was visiting military members at Walter Reed Medical Center. It was to protect them.

I'm glad. Frankly, I'd be a lot more concerned about his chance for recover than Trump.
