    The switch has to make in the AFS. Pulling the tub int it.

    Does the HSI glow brite trying to light the pilot...???

    Pull the tubing. No spark at pilot.
    Put the tubing back, pilot sparks and ignites.
    So, since the switch is either open or close, I figure this proves it must be operating. or it would do the same thing under both circumstances.

    OK. So it is an old spark igniter and it does spark.
    Measure voltage at the MGV. The pilot side should have 24V on it. When the pilot proves the main at the valve will get same power and open up.
    If you have power the next step is seeing if gas is flowing to the pilot. You could have an obstruction in the orifice. If no gas id flowing and power at the pilot side you have a failed MGV.

    I put one of these in my basement. It works great, and just an AA battery to light the pilot. It can be setup to run LP or NG out of the box.
