Does anyone have both a Ruger SR9 magazine and an M&P magazine to compare them? It honestly may not take much to get M&P mags to fit.

Or perhaps someone with the 3-D printing capabilities can whip something up and make/sell adapters...

If there is demand Ruger can do it. The mag well is over-sized and the adapters lock in. 3D printing is a definite possibility.

I tried an M&P mag in my SR9 just now and it fits and functions like it was made for it. It just wouldn’t lock in place without a small hole being made in the front of the mag to line up with the SR9 mag catch.

Edit: The floor plate is a little off but doesn’t interfere with the operation.

Could you "rack" rounds into the gun from the M&P mag? Live fire! :D

You should have to make sure the magazine put the primer in the same spot.

    Tay wut?

If The round chambers and the bolt goes into battery the primer is aligned with the firing pin. The magazine is only a feed device.
