Warren Central was having a "Walk-in" so as to keep the kids in the school. They will spend 17 minutes in the halls. My son is a Junior and told me he thought it was dumb to support the protest as he believed the law changes were idiotic. He was going to stay in his class and didn't care what people thought. He's a smart kid who I REALLY try to keep my opinions to myself to let him form his own his own views. Good for him. The logic of it escaped him.

So my boss emailed everyone yesterday with an anti black gun rant. I accidentally left a printout with some "facts" about school shootings on the printer yesterday for him to pickup and read.

Plan to post the following for all my Facebook acquaintances, a chance to clean up my friends list.

When you see a teenager tomorrow cutting class ask them a few questions:

How long did you spend making that really cool sign?

How long did you spend picking out the perfect outfit to wear so you would look really good in your protest selfie?

Have you spent 17 minutes in the last year talking to the loner kid that everyone ignores or worse yet bullies?

Do something and be a real part of the solution. Sit at the losers lunch table sometime this year. Offer to tutor someone who is struggling in school. Invite someone who struggles socially to a game or other school event. Don’t post mean stuff on social media.

The funny thing is that with all the fake concern about school safety I bet all kinds of security protocols will be broken tomorrow as the kids skip out on 17 minutes of class. Secure doors opened for them to flee the oppression, teachers no longer responsible for a set amount of kids, unsupervised teenagers in places they are not supposed to be.

A LOT of guys at my work have guns, many have the "scary" ones.

For the people that say you don't "need" the 2nd amendment, and that they have no "use" for the 4th (they will happily comply with a police search of their house, no warrant necessary because they have nothing to hide), let's "quarter" troops in their house.
Just a note: quartering also involved feeding.

We must teach our children our heritage ourselves or else it will be lost forever. Most schools certainly do not teach the founding principles of our Republic and I just cannot figure out why not, UNLESS it is an intentional move to shift the mindset at an early age towards socialism. That's it exactly. I don't really wonder anymore because they don't even hide it. They're proud of it.

Edit; My kids wont be dumb blind sheep or followers. They will be leaders. I was just talking to my daughter about this yesterday. That if kods try to get her to participate in something she knows is not right or will lead to trouble, that it is right to stand up and be bold and say no and that it's wrong. If the other kids continue down that path then they will be one short and they will be doing so with full knowledge that what they are doing is wrong.
I have no problem teaching my children my core beliefs in the republic and also the diffeernce between right and wrong. Part of being an American citizen is keeping the founding principles strong with the next generation. "The torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans"

    Because liberals love big government.
And the best way to effect change (long term) is to affect the minds of kids.
Eventually, the people that don't believe government is the solution to all problems will die off.

Its pretty hard to stay seated for a boring hour of study hall when you could be scoring some sweet bonding time with cute Suzie from Social Studies that really seems to get you. And who wants your Facebook page to look pathetic without any walkout selfies showing what a rebel you are?
If the school authorized the walkout with the stipulation that the time had to be made up, I wonder if the participation would still be as high.

Back in the day, a couple of my HS classmates got the bright idea of wearing targets pinned to their shirts, on the anniversary of Kent State. They were surprised when a bunch of us wore surplus field jackets or OD fatigue shirts, in support of the National Guard. :abused:

Did you hear about the school which allowed their students to protest in support of more police officers in the school to reduce the drug use, drug deals, bullying, and violence? Me neither.

Another point for my "KIDS DO NO BELONG ON SOCIAL MEDIA" push. They need to learn how to be social.

Not that all teachers were always the finest of upright citizens (people have already been people) but I don't know that I ever had a teacher that would have admitted to being a member of an organization like this:

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/IndianaBATS/

When we support our kids and support our schools that promote this activity, we're getting what we deserve.
FYI it shouldn’t be a surprise that multiple teachers from Lawrence County are part of that group.

Noblesville HS will be celebrating a breath-holding day of international socialism on 3/14, "in place of an endorsed walkout", starting with a candle light vigil at 0645.

All those exerting enough self-control to attempt to make it though the rest of the day will benefit from an extended moment of silence at 0735, which will likely be needed since their pudgy ANTIFA-esque asses are sure to be winded from blowing out all those candles. (my question, who will assure no fires start with all them matches a'blazin?)

After a brief respite, emotional hammer blows will continue to rain down on Noblesville's young people, undefended by their tax-funded caretakers (those being the Bolshevik administration permitting these jejune activities to take place), when at 1000, a powerful, student directed video will be beamed throughout the school ala 1984. During the video, the name and a photo of every victim of international socialist gun control will be shown, reminiscent of the bell rung in Detroit's Maritime Sailors Cathedral for victims of the Edmond Fitzgerald.

For anyone who has not yet gnashed their teeth to the point of needing medical attention at Riverview Hospital, or rended their garmets to the point of violating the school dress code, there will be a standing invitiation to discuss their concerns regarding school safety with their instructors, who will have the misfortune to have to mouth the platitudes of the I'm with Her! crowd lest they risk their employment with the school district and teacher's union.

A summary of the day's misery will be made during final announcements around 1430.

It's not. A friend's sister in law is a teacher down in Paoli and according to her, a number of their teachers are a part of this as well.
