Springfield XDs 9/45 recall

So if I send mine off, does it come back to me? Or a FFL. If it goes to a FFL will I be able to pick it up? I am only 19...

I just saw this. Looks like my XDS 45 which has been flawless to date is going back home for a visit. Gotta dig out the good ole reliable Kahr PM9.

Mine was delivered this morning as well.. I shot an email this morning to a customer service rep I have spoken with before. She stated that a 2-4 week turnaround time should be expected and that we will be receiving nothing for our troubles expect for a fixed gun. (I.e. mags, hats, anything like that)

My XDS went back to Springfield today, it will be missed. Wouldn't it be great if they returned it with a new magazine for our trouble?

Yeah, I'm not holding out for any freebies like a magazine. Extra magazines are scarce on the market to begin with so I don't expect Springfield to be able to supply one even if they wanted to.

A small token even a hat or shirt would be better than nothing.. Maybe I expect too much

read what it says..it says not to do this but to just send pistol with no mags

I know this recall sucks, but hopefully they will repair the guns and all will be right. Waiting for your gun to return is always the hardest part. Good luck to all who are sending in their gun.
