It's only a matter of time. Stay vigilant. From another pic, it looks like part of the plan was to ambush police as they arrived.
I'm still not sure how the US has been able to avoid these kinds of orchestrated, team-style attacks.

I don't think you clicked the link.

Edit: The video of the officer being shot is heart-wrenching. The terrorist saying "Tu voulais nous tuer, hein?" (You wanted to kill us, huh?) when approaching the already-on-ground cop. Then the cop replied "Nan c'est bon chef!" ("Nah it's okay chief!") meaning that he is no longer able to fight and that they don't have to kill him, and then they shot.
In response to attacks like this in America - What do you believe is even possible to prevent them? Surprise is surprise. You can't really combat that. People with the intent to do harm will likely get away with it until a response arrives

I guess I don't understand the point of dragging political gun control issues in it, particularly when it seems like the method of attack could have probably been just as successful stateside.
Reports are they had a rocket launcher
Coexist anyone?
To be fair, it was a lazy link. I was sitting in my car when I saw the news feed. Was mobile, it was the first link I saw related to the event, so copied/pasted it here. Twitchy's headline of it is stupid, admittedly... more of a commentary on how Piers' first tweet after something like this would be gun-related if it were here in America... but somehow that was absent this time.
Heya, pardon my thickheadedness (too cold, not enough coffee)... these guys are still loose, right?
Any mention of what people should look for? Seems like at least some of the video provides a solid extraction route for these guys.
I know we've been told that [insert-radical-ideology-here] is ever-peaceful and is deserving of respect but I disagree that this is a religion at all, that it is peaceful, and that it should be respected as a belief-system. It's in the same category as Nazism, Marxism, even Socialism. These are freedom-destroying ideologies that depend on forceful coercion of opponents backed up by brutality and murder.

ohh ok, yeah "good" videos....but the commentary about gun control just isn't relevant when your talking about coordinated terrorist attacks IMO.
