Frankly, I'm not sure anime can really be considered fringe anymore at all. With Gencon and everything being so popular for so long, it lost true "fringe" status years ago.

So MMA fighter Andrew Tate went on an anti-anime rant last night... got a lot of people riled up.

Says Anime is for losers, cucks, children, etc.... guess he was seeking some attention, because he definitely got it. Anime companies joined in to counter his dumb ****.

    Definitely trolling.

On the topic of anime... Legendary director Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Space Dandy) created a Blade Runner anime short to bridge the first and second live-action movies.

It's called Blade Runner Black Out 2022, and currently streaming on Crunchyroll. Probably elsewhere, too.

Watch the Blade Runner anime from Cowboy Bebop director Shinichiro Watanabe - The Verge

I've got some Crunchyroll premium+ guest passes if anyone wants:

    Meh.

    Well, maybe.

Their came a point where it got old and I didn't really notice that it left the air. Is Family Guy still running?

I get all my Mike Judge-y goodness from Silicon Valley these days.

This show he is doing for Cinemax is funny as ****...Because the stories are true and told by the people who lived it....At the end of each episode the cartoon fades away and you see the real people...You and I got similar humor (warped and dark:)) so I think you would dig it...

Very lewd-ish, NSFW language. (cleavage, etc.)

A look at the way Twitch is headed with cam-whoring and whatnot. A pretty good look at the situation

Not a fan of Twitch myself. I have no interest in watching kids play games. Their personalities really don't sell it for me.

I'll absolutely be getting that "Don't tread on me" shirt, though.

Video unavailable now, or at least was for me.

Now I'm REALLY curious what was on it... other than the Don't Tread On Me shirt. Yeah, that's what I wanted to see....

Here's all the anime in IMDb's Highest Rated TV shows of all time

Some of these feel like they should be higher than they are... but definitely some good stuff here.

One Punch Man and Erased are pretty new... looks like they had a strong impact on the viewers to reach this sort of rating. Both are good, not sure I'd put Erased that high though.

    22 - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
    25 - Death Note
    27 - One Punch Man
    31 - Cowboy Bebop
    57 - Attack on Titan
    67 - Dragon Ball Z
    70 - Steins;Gate
99 - Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
101 - Rurouni Kenshin - Trust and Betrayal
    105 - Fullmetal Alchemist (2003)
    106 - Monster
    114 - Berserk (1997)
    116 - Hunter x Hunter (2011)
    126 - Saint Seiya
    137 - Neon Genesis Evangelion
    138 - Samurai Champloo
    151 - Dragon Ball
164 - Rurouni Kenshin: Wandering Samurai
173 - Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
    188 - Erased
    191 - One Piece
    194 - Clannad: After Story
    222 - Parasyte: The Maxim
    223 - Mushi-shi
    230 - Yu Yu Hakusho
233 - Boku no Hero Academia

Not much info about methodology, just going by Nielsens?***

I would have put Champloo a lot higher. Surprised Bleach wasn't in there, not because I liked it but it seemed so many others did

Anime 100 - Celebrating 100 years of Japanese Animation

I think they definitely overlooked a few in this montage... but a good presentation of Japanese animation from 1917 - 2017.

Disney just announced that ESPN will be launching a new streaming service, cost is $4.99 per month.

Say what you will about ESPN, but this could be the beginning of the end for bundled cable TV services. ESPN was a huge hold-out for the longest time.

Are we heading toward a la carte cable TV?
