More seriously . . . it will go into sub-committee where it will languish . . . in the same Purgatory all the others introduced after Las Vegas are languishing. Do not get concerned unless it graduates to the full committee. If it doesn't it will die in sub-committee.

Yup. Sooner or later, Dems will control all branches in DC and while in power, another massacre will happen. It'll be all the excuse they need to bring back the ban and, if they follow California's example, there won't be a grandfather clause for existing weapons. At that point either prepare to fight or go to jail or turn them in.
It's all in what the time says they can get away with. This is grand standing in hopes of gaining seats next year. I suspect they will take the Senate next year.

I hope the R's do get voted out. They've had control of all 3 branches necessary to pass legislation and they've done nothing.

All I can say on a positive note is that doing nothing is better than what Billery and here Ilk would be doing if they had the power.

I'm done voting R. They aren't passing anything that positively impacts us. They are doing nothing. I am beyond pissed. Now is their time, and they are squandering it. Vote all of the bums out. Every single one, regardless of party.

The only argument for voting R is "you have to, otherwise the other party will win." I'm done with that. I'll be voting out every incumbent for Senate races. As long as the democrats don't have control of all 3 branches, nothing will get passed at all. It'll be no different than it is right now.

I think doing nothing might be preferable to what the Dems would do, if they get back the trifecta again. The current Dem party seems much more hard leftist than just a few years ago.

We all need to exorcise our term limits powers. We all have them just very few use them.

That'll be the key. We need to remove a lot of R's from office while still not giving the democrats power over all 3 branches. Optimally, we should just get rid of the R incumbents in the primaries.....

This. Lots of these lifetime politicians need to be removed. They've lost touch with their constituents.

True but, who will you replace them with?

Considering the incumbent party controls who is on the ballet, kind of leaves you no choice but to vote for the other party. Do you really want to do that? Just asking.

Anybody get the feeling thay we're just fighting a losing battle? I figure as the older, wiser generation moves on and the young, college brainwashed generation grows we will become a socialist country.
