Somehow you beat me to it. I thought I might actually have gotten you but you posted a few minutes before me. I hope that this year means more 3rd Party games and more shooters for Switch. I'd love to play some games I'd normally play on PC or Xbox on my Switch finally. I can't wait to pick up Dark Souls and some of the other games.

I have been using my Switch in a lot of family settings lately too and so I think Mario Tennis would be awesome for family fun I just hope they release a Mario Golf game too.

Fe seems interesting for sure so I look forward to seeing how that does.

I'm also happy to see more Wii U ports coming to Switch (DKC:TF and Hyrule Warriors). Next, I hope they do Super Smash Bros and I wouldn't mind the Zelda Remaster's again for Switch or even a Skyward Sword remaster. The ability to play SS with a real controller would be nice but they could keep the motion controls too which I thought were kind of fun. I am sure they will release some more games each year to keep the hype train and momentumgoing for the Switch to help carry it's sales into the future.

It's rare that you'll post before me, an AI. Indiucky figured out my secret a while back.

I think 2018 will be huge for third-party. Switch has been such a giant success, so developers are going all-in with it.

The Mario sports games have always been very good, I'm definitely looking forward to Tennis, and would love to see Golf.

Smash is bound to happen, though I barely touched the last release for some reason. Just didn't feel... the same. Not sure why. I'm alright with a couple re-masters here and there... MK8 Deluxe was a good one... but I hope it doesn't become the norm. They got some strong first party releases out in 2017, hope they keep that up too.

Edit: Oh PUBG... this microtransaction stuff was the plan all along.

For sure, this thing has exceeded all of the naysayers expectations so I think the floodgates will open this year and next for games. I have seen some rumors but I'd like to see some Call of Duty games on it, Battlefield, Dishonored, Fallout, GTA, RDR, and whatever else.

I agree I'd love to see a golf or a Sports game like Wii Sports with motion controls works too but a Mario golf with joycon motion controls would be perfect.

Oh I agree, I want them to keep producing new content but I think Nintendo would be stupid to not re-release many of their other first party titles from Wii U on the Switch seeing as to how at this point has sold just about as much or more than the Wii U did and the games are done and probably just need minor tweaks or additional content to make them want to release them on Switch. At least the bigger titles like Super Smash Bros, New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendo Land (maybe), Mario Maker, Zelda WindWaker and Twilight Princess HD, and whatever else. I doubt they'll remake Mario Party 10 when they could just make 11 and it's possible they won't release SSB from Wii U and are just going to make a new game at this point? Either way I still have my Wii U but playing some of the games on the go would be nice but if they don't do it no biggie.

Also, pretty big deal... a Switch Emulator has been announced by the same team that made the 3DS emulator.

So the Switch has now been hacked, and now emulated. Hopefully this doesn't scare developers away from it in 2018.

My biggest beef with Nintendo for the last 10 years is the maturity level of games. Great for families, but I get bored out of my dang mind playing Mario or some other rated E game meant for kids under 12.
However, Breath of the Wild is one of the best games I've ever played and its not even close, especially being a Zelda fan overall.
Seriously, im sure its already been mentioned...but do yourself a favor and buy this game.

Which leads me to ask, when are they going to make Zelda into a movie(s)?

Speaking of beef, someone should make a version of that 1980s Burger Time game where you can make a burrito with every meat possible.

(That might be an obscure reference, eh GP?) ;)

Not sure they could fit all those layers with how many lines the NES/Arcade could draw. Definitely require some scrolling.

Looks like the big Nintendo event will be tomorrow, probably a full Nintendo Direct.

Today's Nintendo announcement was "Nintendo Labo"

... Sort of interesting, they're marketing to the younger, creative audience.

We downloaded Fortnite for the Xbone. It looks like Plunkbat to start. It is pretty fun, but my son and I still suck at it.

It reminds me of an ArmA for the Minecraft generation.

The Sun has an article today worrying about no one leaving their rooms once VR porn becomes mainstream. Buckle up, VR hysteria is coming.

I'm waiting for the first "Sexual harassment in VR" allegation.... His virtual pixels touched my virtual pixels without my consent, REEEE!

Definitely expect the "WHAT YOUR KIDS MAY BE DOING IN A VIRTUAL WORLD, TONIGHT AT 10" news stories to come out... and I really hope VR developers don't cave to that nonsense and censor users.

I couldn't get over how over-played the pop culture is in that book. It was entertaining, but it sure wasn't pleasant to read. There are far better books out there, Neoromancer and Snow crash just to name a few.

Snow Crash was great. I could not, for the life of me, make it through Neuromancer. I know it's supposed to be great and is famous and all, but my god, the author jumped constantly with no explanation as to what was going on. Maybe it's just me, though.

You would really hate the sequels for neuromancer; count zero and mona lisa overdrive were even harder to follow. However, they were still pretty damn good.
