Seriously, how could this even happen? Assuming everything you see on your screen is digitally imaged, why would this image, with detailed numbers, etc ... even exist on someone's computer yet? Seems pretty detailed for a projection.

I was in the panhandle of Florida when that happened. The polls were still open, and that area has a lot of military. I called BS when it happened, especially since W was leading at the time.

a test? verifying with made-up data that their computer systems, scripts, graphics, etc properly display the correct information, formatted in a way that presents well, that the math works out, etc? I have presentations I've done on my computer with lots of draft/placeholder/test data, all in preparation for the real data to be available...

of course, it should never have made it to the air. someone really screwed up there....
