    There are any number of reasons good people live in bad neighborhoods. A lot of it has to do with social issues. Sometimes it is economic, but out of their control.

    I wonder why private security and secure community areas have not looked at as a partial solution in the US like it has in other countries?

    There are any number of reasons good people love be in bad neighbo hoods. A lot of it has to do with social issues. Sometimes it is economic, but out of their control.

    Over the years I have encountered many good people in "bad" neighborhoods. Most of the older folks moved in when the neighborhoods were "good" and weren't able to leave when they started to decline.

    We know there are exceptions to everything...........but this crap doesn't just spring up.
    Some folks allowed it to grow.

    Fashionable to be a victim in today's popular culture.

    That part of the problem.
